The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has introduced the “Rating of Properties for Digital Connectivity Regulations, 2024”. This initiative aims to establish a framework for evaluating and rating properties based on their digital connectivity infrastructure. The goal is to provide a standardized rating system to assess the digital infrastructure and service readiness of properties, enabling them to offer high-quality digital connectivity — which is increasingly important with the rise of technology and the growing demand for reliable indoor internet access.
The Digital Connectivity Rating Platform will be used to manage the rating process. Property managers can use this platform to assess digital connectivity in their properties through the DCRA, and provide relevant information to potential consumers and buyers about the property's digital connectivity.
